Explorations for Integrated Awareness
Our program of continuing education courses are available exclusively to members of the TBA organization. Joining this organization involves filling out a member Application and Profile and paying a membership fee. By joining, a member automatically becomes part of our national referral service. This can help you network with other allied professionals as well as a generation of other Transformational Bodywork Associates.
Over the years, these networking ties have proven invaluable for practitioners wishing to grow their personal and professional identities within a community of shared interests, passions and skills.
Additionally, joining our program is a necessary pre-requisite for taking our courses. Private Membership in this organization is what allows us to be in compliance with current California laws.
Lastly, by joining, you will receive a quarterly professional Newsletter that will advertise your work throughout our network in both listing and display ad form. Also included in the Transformational Bodyworksm Newsletter are timely and pertinent articles and essays that pertain to the work itself — especially the writings of our membership itself. This last category is important because it offers an advanced student of the work to publish their thesis and experience a form of peer review by receiving commentary from the whole community.
The Transformational Bodywork Association can also be seen as an evolving community resource to each member by providing a context for professional confidence and collaboration. In the next decade, many and diverse opportunities will be coming to the hearts and hands of healers of all kinds. Our world is transforming rapidly as somatic awareness is growing; and this means that many of us will find ourselves with favorable conditions to translate our skill base into innovative services. TBA will help you keep abreast of these professional developments and help you shape your own offerings within our amazingly creative profession.
Transformation has become the “topic of the day”. The private lives of individuals today–and, by extension, the relationships that occur within family life, the work place and community organizations–all point to the very human hunger for authenticity, ease of expression and real connection to the natural instincts of the body. The human body is the crucible in which the dynamic tension between our truest yearnings and our social conditioning is stored. A better world is possible. TBA is an organization of uniquely talented bodyworkers and transformational consultants who are dedicated to providing high quality healing arts education and nurturance to individuals and groups that are poised to leverage their natural energies into powerful forces of creative change. Our mission and purpose is to facilitate graceful creative change by cultivating peaceful action from “personal body” to the “body politic.”The menu we offer individuals and groups is many folded: TBA provides a professional bodywork team of uniquely talented people to facilitate deeper and more relaxing experiences for participants in retreat or at conferences and symposia.
TBA also works with corporations and organizations in three to five day customized retreats. Organizational development and group facilitation in this context uses healing modalities as a process of tam building, enhancing communication skills, and growing leadership. TBA sponsors theatrical productions and ritual healing ceremonies. A 250 seat amphitheater is available.
Rates for Transformational Bodywork services are based on the seniority of the associate, and range from $100-$250 an hour depending on the experience of the practioner.
